Search tool for patent publications

Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) processes national Finnish patent applications, handles PCT applications as a Receiving Office, acts as an International Searching Authority (ISA) and as an International Preliminary Examining Authority (IPEA). In addition, PRH offers commercial search services. PRH is procuring a search tool that uses artificial intelligence to search for patent publications. The tool will be used as one of the tools in examining patentability. PRH conducts approx. 2,000 novelty searches for patent applications annually. Tool may also be used in commercial search services provided by PRH. The tool will be used by approx. 100-120 people. Look II.1.4) Short description.

The estimated total value of the contract stated in sections II.1.7 and V.2.4 is based on the comparison price of the tender. The value includes the implementation and licensing of the solution and possible expert services estimated for four years of production use. The Agreement remains in force for an initial fixed period of 24 months, and afterwards remains in force indefinitely. Term, termination and other cancellation of the agreement is described in detail in the Agreement. The address mentioned for the review body (Markkinaoikeus) in section VI.4 is valid at the time of publication of this notice.
