UV-Vis NIR spectrometer

UV/VIS/NIR spectroscopy is a powerful analytical technique to determine the optical properties (transmittance, reflectance and absorbance) of liquids and solids. It can be applied to characterize semiconductor materials, coatings, glass and many other research and manufacturing materials and it is thus preferred to renew our very old instrument to serve the growing demand from all research groups in need of it at Åbo Akademi University.

It can be applied to characterize semiconductor materials, coatings, glass and many other research and manufacturing materials and it is thus preferred to renew our very old instrument to serve the growing demand from all research groups in need of it at Åbo Akademi University. UV-Vis NIR spectrometer mainly for research of films, other solids and liquids and for use by research groups from Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physics, and Polymer Chemistry. These groups are involved in high tech research in renewable and electroactive materials research, solar cells, smart packages and similar. The Contracting Authority currently owns valuable accessories, which need to be compatible with the instrument. There is still many years of operating time left of the accessories. The accessories are listed in Annex 1. If the instrument is not compatible, the Tenderer must offer similar accessories, which will be included in the price comparison.

The procurement process can be terminated for a justified reason at any stage before the final contract. The contracting authority is not responsible for the costs nor any possible damage caused to the Tenderer. No compensation will be payable to Tenderes for preparing a tender, presenting it or otherwise taking part in the procedure.
