European Healthech Investment Forum event 2022

Business Finland will organize the 6th annual European Healthech Investment Forum event in Helsinki in March 2022 where the goal is to introduce selected 40 top tier healthtech European companies (life science, biotech, diagnostics, medtech & digital health) to a group of 50+ major European healthtech-focused venture capital funds and corporate investors (e.g. pharmaceutical and medical device companies). The event will last 3-4 days and will feature keynotes from prominent key opinion leaders in the before mentioned fields, pitches from the selected companies, reverse pitches from the VC and corporate investors and 1-to-1 meeting platform where companies and investors have the chance to begin discussion regarding potential equity investments. The object of the procurement is the organizing of this event. The organizing entails the practical arrangements of the described event and using the service provider's contact network in order to attract relevant investors to the event. The service provider shall be able to ensure successful investments as a result of the event. Business Finland reserves the option to organize the Healthtech Investment Forum event also in years 2023-2025. However, no decisions regarding these events for years 2023-2025 have been made. The estimated value of one (one years') event is EUR 40 000.

In accordance with the Act on Public Procurement and Concession Contracts Section 40.2.2, a contracting entity may opt for direct procurement if only a certain supplier can implement the procurement for a technical reason, or for a reason related to protecting an exclusive right; it shall be a further condition that there are no reasonable alternatives or substitute solutions, and that the absence of competition is not due to an artificial narrowing of the terms and conditions of the procurement.
