Erän kuvaus
The University of Turku plans to purchase the Fluidigm Hyperion mass cytometry imaging system to its Cytometry core facility located at Turku Bioscience. This device will be integrated to our cytometry service infrastructure alongside the existing Fluidigm HeliosTM which has been in operation for services since 2018. The HyperionTM allows multiplexed imaging of up to 37 antigens simultaneously in a given sample with a high spatial resolution. This will double our capacity for HeliosTM-based single cell sorting services providing scope for largescale measurements that take weeks and months of machine time. Such measurements could not be accommodated by our existing infrastructure without this increased capacity. Similarly, it is essential that the HeliosTM devices are identical as this is a requirement for longitudinal clinical studies.
