SUSPENSION OF THE PROCUREMENT
The Finnish Border Guard has suspended the procurement of facial cameras, their software and maintenance services (TED: 2020/S 088-211061) with the decision RVL2058098/26.11.2020. Justification for the suspension is connected to an unclear Invitation to Tender in regard to the mandatory nature of the IT-environment, which has caused and enabled to offer solutions and components that do not meet the intended requirements. The Procuring Authority has also estimated the overall value of the procurement during the 5-year contract period not to exceed € 600.000,00. Both tenders received have considerably exceeded the estimated and budgeted value of the contract.
