PARTICIPATION APPLICATION REQUEST - MG-pedestal

Machine gun pedestal is stand mounted on the vessel. It enables the attachement and usage of the machine gun (MG). The procurement consist of following: • HMG (Heavy Machine Gun) pedestals with pintle interface • Documentation • User training • Maintenance training • Special tools needed for use, support and maintenance. • Limiter knob to GFE weapon cradle. Pedestal shall be constructed only of acid-resistance steel or other anti-magnetic materials. The precise product specification to the selected Tenderers will be given in the request for quotation.

The competitive bidding shall be conducted as a restricted National procurement procedure in accordance with the Act on Public Procurement in the Fields of Defence and Security (1531/2011 later referred to as the Act). The MG-pedestal is a part of defence equipment intended in section 5 subsection 2 section 1 of the Act and the defence equipment in question is accordance to the Common military list of the European Union: Section ML1 Smooth-bore weapons with a calibre of less than 20 mm, other arms and automatic weapons with a calibre of 12.7 mm (calibre 0.50 inches) or less and accessories, as follows, and specially designed components therefor: d. The procurement shall not be divided between different Tenderers. Alternative tenders are not allowed. Parallel tenders are not allowed. The participation application including all of its appendices shall be written in the English or Finnish language. No remuneration shall be paid to Candidates for making, submitting, or presenting a participation application or subsequent tender, or participating in the procedure in any other way. The Candidate shall cover itself any and all costs incurred by participating in the competitive bidding. The Contracting Entity verifies whether the Candidates meet the suitability requirements set in this document . Any Candidate which does not satisfy the suitability requirements or which is subject to any of the exclusion criteria provided in Section 47 of the Act shall be excluded from the competitive bidding. Any Candidate which is subject to any of the exclusion criteria mentioned in Section 48 of the Act may also be excluded from the competitive bidding. The phases of procurement are as follows: 1. Signing a procurement contract The Contracting entity reserves the possibility to following act: The supplier shall deliver quoted MG-pedestal (1 system) for validation tests in Finland. The back and forth freight shall be carried out by Tenderer.
