We will acquire a DUAL-KLAS-NIR P700; Plastocyanin, Ferredoxin & Chlorophyll Fluorescence Measuring System. This advanced system is designed to measure redox changes in plastocyanin (PC), the PS I reaction center (P700), and ferredoxin (Fd) within both plants and photosynthetic microorganisms in suspension cultures.

This advanced system is designed to measure redox changes in plastocyanin (PC), the PS I reaction center (P700), and ferredoxin (Fd) within both plants and photosynthetic microorganisms in suspension cultures. Heinz Walz GmbH is the sole supplier in the market that offers an instrument meeting all the specific technical requirements essential for the needs of our department. These requirements include: • measurements of deconvoluted absorbance changes of P700, plastocyanin and ferredoxin are in the Near-Infrared region (NIR) -range at 785-970 nm • simultaneous measurements of pulse amplitude modulated chlorophyll fluorescence and absorbance changes of P700, plastocyanin, and ferredoxin • a built in continuous actinic illumination which must be capable for generating saturating single and multiple turnover flashes. • capability of measuring both intact plant leaves and suspension cultures of photosynthetic micro-organisms. According to the Act on Public Procurement and Concession Contracts (1397/2016) section 40 when only a certain supplier can implement the procurement for a technical reason, provided also that there are no reasonable alternatives or substitute solutions, and that the absence of competition is not due to an artificial narrowing of the terms and conditions of the procurement, the contract may be awarded only to a particular supplier, Contracting authorities may award public contracts by a direct award. Prior to making decision the Contracting authority has inspected the relevant markets and available products therein and after careful consideration found its' conclusion grounded.
