Alkuperäinen teksti Hilmasta, muuttamattomanaNatural Resources Institute Finland (hereafter referred to as "Luke") requests your tender for long cooling die system, tailor-made transfer section with pumping system and a thermostat for a pilot size food extruder equipment with this Call for Tenders and its annexes. The purchase is intended to be made within the year 2024. The equipment will be used in Jokioinen, Finland, for Luke's operations and purposes for example in research purposes of testing plant-based ingredients and producing of meat analogues.
The Call for Tenders and the procurement is divided into two (2) lots:
Lot 1: Transfer section, pumping system, cooling die system and cutting support
Lot 2: Process thermostat (temperature control unit)
Tenderer can leave a tender for one or both of the lots.
The subject of the procurement is described in more detail in lot descriptions and in the procurement object criteria.

The Natural Resources Institute Finland uses the Finnish government's common electronic order and invoice processing system,
the Handi service. Purchases are allocated through the system to valid contracts and ordered through the electronic system.
The Natural Resources Institute Finland only approves, processes and archives invoices in electronic form that are compliant with
the European Standard. Invoices are requested to be sent as an electronic invoice through Posti Messaging Oy, which acts
as the Finnish government's e-invoice operator. We will return the received paper invoices to the biller.
We require that the invoice include an order number or contract number so that our invoice processing system can automatically
assign an invoice to the associated order.

Erä 1
The subject of the procurement in Lot 1 are:
- one (1) long cooling die system;
- one (1) tailor-made transfer section with two (2) adapters and one (1) pumping system and;
- one (1) cutting support
for a pilot size food extruder equipment.
A long cooling die (LCD) is an enclosed cooling system (food-grade stainless steel) that is attached to an extruder equipment through a transfer section. The main purpose of this LCD would be to obtain plant-based meat analogues through high moisture extrusion. Generally, LCD uses water as an internal circulating medium with the help of an external cooling unit. The long cooling die system must be compatible with twin-screw and multi-screw extruders as specified in more detail in the procurement object criteria.
Transfer section is a section between the extruder and the long cooling die. The transfer section needs to be tailor-made for this purpose. It needs to have two adapters: one to be compatible with a twin-screw extruder and one to be compatible with a multi-screw extruder as specified in more detail in the procurement object criteria. The transfer section must be compatible with the long cooling die system.
The transfer section must include an in-built pressure/temperature reading device and a hose inlet for the injection of external ingredients with the pumping system.
The pumping system consists of the vessel, pump and connecting pipe. The purpose of the pumping system is the injection of pressurized food liquid ingredients at transfer section point. Technical features of the hose inlet must be in line with those of the pump. The pumping system must be compatible with the transfer section, twin-screw and multi-screw extruders and with the long cooling die system.
The cutting support is a stainless-steel tray for sample collection. The cutting support must be attached to the long cooling die and it must be dismountable.
The equipment shall be delivered to Jokioinen, Finland.
Technical requirements for the equipment are described in more detail in the procurement object criteria.
The contract of the lot 1 will be made with one supplier.
The more detailed measurements /blueprints of the transfer section are provided to the selected supplier by the contracting entity.
Erä 2
The subject of the procurement for Lot 2 is a process thermostat (temperature control unit, TCU) to be used with the pilot size extruder equipment.
The process thermostat offered must be compatible with the long cooling die system and other equipment described in Lot 1.
The equipment shall be delivered to Jokioinen, Finland.
Technical requirements for the equipment are described in more detail in the procurement object criteria.
The contract of the lot 2 will be made with one supplier.
