Bead Mill

The object of the tender process is a bead mill suitable for food grade operations and environment. Depending on the selected process parameters, the machine can allow for complete homogenization and suspension of the cell material in the medium, or gentle disruption of the cells without overly fracturing the cell membrane for an effective separation of the broken cells by centrifugation. The machine supports the usage of zirconium beads and glass beads, with at least a diameter range of 0.3 - 1.25 mm Two (2) year warranty as of the delivery for the functioning of the instrument and its components is expected. The instrument is expected to be delivered to VTT no later than 25 weeks from the order. Delivery time of 20 weeks is seen optimal. As a result of the competitive bidding VTT reserves the right to select a primary and a backup supplier. The backup supplier shall be used in case the primary supplier fails to deliver the device in time.
