Two 5-channel receiving stations to receive backscattered signals from two meteor radars

The tender covers the delivery and installation of two 5-channel receiving systems including antennas for the reception of radar signals backscattered from meteor trails from two stations in northern Scandinavia. The existing stations are monostatic meteor radars in Kiruna (32.55 MHz) and Sodankylä (36.9 MHz). The two receiving stations to be installed will be located in Finland near the geographical centre between the two stations (near 68°N, 24°E) in order to detect reflections of meteor trails from almost the same volume but from different angles using the principle of forward scattering. The exact location of the installation in Finland is yet to be determined.
