MARKET DIALOGUE: Structural designing of the new generation 60E1-turnouts in Finland

MARKET DIALOGUE The aim for this market dialogue is the public procurement, which enables the design of the new generation 60E1-turnout structure for the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency (FTIA). BACKGROUND AND DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT SITUATION Most of the turnouts in Finnish rail network are really stiff structures, which are designed in the ´90s. These structures cannot anymore completely satisfy the current needs, which are forcing the turnouts to bear more loads and enable higher speeds. This has raised new structural needs for single 60E1-turnouts, which can be used in conventional track and also in high-speed track. OBJECTIVES Objectives of this procurement is to receive the designs and drawings of new generation 60E1-300E-1:9 and 60E1-900E-1:18M turnouts (marked with X in the list below) so that in future those can be used as a reference structure for the other 60E1-turnout types. Geometrical design (curve radius and crossing ratio) should remain the same as in current turnouts, so only new structural design is needed. The complete package of new generation 60E1-turnouts includes following single turnouts: • 60E1-300E-1:9 (X) • 60E1-500E-1:11,1 • 60E1-500E-1:14 • 60E1-900E-1:15,5 • 60E1-900E-1:18 • 60E1-900E-1:18M (with movable crossing) (X) All the detailed technical specification of these new generation turnouts will be specified with the chosen designer after the procurement.

Prior information notice is an invitation to market dialogue, from which suppliers interested in procurement have the opportunity to particiapte in technical dialogue with the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. The purpose of technical dialogue is to have a general dialogue regarding the procurement and its determination. The technical dialogue does not oblige the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency to carry out the procurement. The technical dialogue does not oblige the supplier to participate in a possible tendering process. The market dialogue is arranged by commenting on the draft versions of the tender documents and by answering the FTIA's questions about object of the procurement. Preliminary date of the delivery of draft versions of tender documents and questions is the week of 14/2023. Instructions to registration of market dialogue/technical dialogue: The supplier must indicate his interest in participating in latest by March 22, 2023 at 12.00 by sending a message to tommi.aarnio@vayla.fi with the title: "MARKET DIALOGUE: Structural designing of the new generation 60E1-turnouts in Finland". The informant is asked to state the following in the message: - name, email and number of the supplier's contact person. The FTIA reserves the right to invite suppliers to one-on-one negotiations or to continue the technical dialogue separately in a manner that will be announced later. Descriptions and procurement announcements that are published in this EU prior information notice and the estimated publication date, as well as later the draft dialogue materials to be delivered are preliminary procurement information. Suppliers are not compensated for answering or participating in the market dialogue.
