Database analysis tool

Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland (hereinafter also MEAE) is planning for the competitive tendering for providing and producing access to economic time series database service. The service and its database will be one of the main data sources for the analysis conducted in the MEAE and its departments and units. The Service will be applied in monitoring, analysing, forecasting and charting of labour markets; product markets; financial markets; energy markets; environmental development; regional economic development; international trade; macroeconomic developments, including public revenues and expenditures; structural data on enterprises; demography and socio-economic wellbeing of population. The service will be used also for international comparisons and it has to cover comprehensive list of countries and time series. The Service needs to provide access to the most recent data on each topic. For above mentioned topics The Service shall include the following databases at minimum: OECD, Eurostat, IMF, ECB, Word Bank, European Commission, UN, IEA, JODI. The Service has to include tools for searching and visualizing data, making transformations and applying other analysis tools for time series. The Service also needs to enable export of data and graphics, including smooth connection to MS Office environment (Excel, Word, Power-point). The Service has to include possibility to import specific MEAE data into database and apply database analysis tools for that data. The description of the tender is preliminary and subject to change.

GENERAL Please note that this is a prior information notice (hereafter "notice") and that this is not an invitation to tender. The information provided in this notice is preliminary and is subject to change during preparation. REGISTRATION Companies interested in this upcoming procurement are requested to provide their contact details by e-mail to kilpailutus@hansel.fi by March 3th, 2023. Companies can also participate in the market dialogue after the deadline (March 3th, 2023) but the scope of the market dialogue is in that case in the discretion of the procurement unit due to time limitations. The personal data of the interested companies will only be used in connection with this upcoming procurement. Personal data will only be stored during the preparation of this procurement and during the tender competition. MARKET DIALOGUE The intention of procurement unit (MEAE) is to send draft versions of invitation to tender and its annexes to all interested tenderers in the beginning of April. Interested tenderers are given the opportunity to comment on the draft material in writing. Hansel Oy operates in a consultative role in this procurement.
