Oral rabies vaccines

The purpose of this Prior information notice is to identify potentialsuppliers operating in the market and their offerings. Responding or not responding to this Priorinformation notice does not prevent participation in a possible future tender. This Priorinformation notice does not obligate the contracting authority to carry out an actual procurementprocedure. All information presented in this Prior information notice is preliminary and indicative. SUBJECT OF PROCUREMENT: The procurement concerns oral rabies vaccine baits intended for the vaccination of foxes and raccoon dogs. The purpose of the procurement is to prevent the introduction and spread of rabies in Finland and to maintain Finland's rabies-free status.The estimated quantity to be purchased under the contract is 360,000 vaccine baits in 2027 and 180,000 vaccine baits annually thereafter. In 2027, the vaccine baits shall be delivered by the Supplier to Helsinki, Finland, in two deliveries: 180,000 vaccine baits in March and 180,000 vaccine baits in August. In each subsequent year, 180,000 vaccine baits shall be delivered once, in August.The Finnish Food Authority will be responsible for the subsequent distribution of the vaccine baits within the vaccination area.
