Tampere University Foundation sr is inviting tenders for 'fNIRS (Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy) system', hereinafter 'fNIRS'. This call for tenders concerns a multi-person fNIRS system equipped with... - three (3) portable fNIRS measurement systems to allow measuring children and adults, - additional fNIRS system to measure infants, - data acquisition software for measuring at least two (2) people simultaneously, - delivery, installation, and user training. * * * * (First attempt for tendering was cancelled by contracting authority on Aug 1st, 2025).

NEXUS is an interdisciplinary research infrastructure within Tampere University. NEXUS includes several high-quality research laboratories with the latest available equipment enabling research involving behavioral and psychophysiological measurements and use of Extended Reality. The fNIRS system will be located to the Human Information Processing Laboratory (HIP Lab; https://research.tuni.fi/hiplab/). Research in the HIP Lab is targeted to investigate the perception of social information and the neural basis of its processing. The present equipment in the HIP Lab includes recording systems for EEG, EMG, ECG, and SCL, and video and eye-tracking systems for recordings from two individuals simultaneously. * * * * SCHEDULING, pls note! Due to scheduling of this call, it is likely that contract signing with winning party takes place in beginning of January 2026. Therefore it's important that submitted tenders are in force for the duration of January 2026. * * * * PRICING: Contracting authority is expecting pricing to be 200 000 - 450 000 € (excl. VAT). Maximum budget to be used is 450 000 € and tenders exceeding this can not be submitted.
