Alkuperäinen teksti Hilmasta, muuttamattomanaTampere University is inviting tenders for a Laboratory scale polymer extruder.
The university has a need for a laboratory scale benchtop twin-screw extruder and accessories for thermal processing of thermoplastic polymers.
The accessories include a gravimetric feeder, a conveyor belt and a set of dies. The devices will be used for low throughput extrusion of thermoplastic polymers and their composites with glass/ceramic fibers and particles. Research groups at the university are working with a wide and changing range of materials, polylactide being the most commonly used polymer.

The same tenderer can submit multiple tenders, e.g. one for a new instrument and one for a used, but fully refurbished (more high-end type of device). Also, some of the additional but mandatory components can be offered as used.
Guidance for a possibly tendered used extruder: the university expects the inside surfaces of the screw and barrel to show no wear. Preferably the device has not been used to process hard materials such as glass fiber reinforced polymers.
