Request for Information (RFI): Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions

This notice is not a call for tenders but a request for information (later "RFI"). The intent of this RFI is to find out information about artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and the development of AI algorithms from potential suppliers and service providers. Please, ask for the detailed RFI documents by sending email to the address: hankinnat.informaatioteknologiakeskus.poliisihallitus@poliisi.fi Additional information of the RFI can be requested by sending questions at the latest 13th December 2023 at 3 p.m. (UTC +2). The responses to the RFI are requested to be sent by email at the latest 15th January 2024 at 3 p.m. (UTC +2). Not answering to this RFI does not prevent you from taking part in any procurement process that will be possibly launched later. This RFI does not oblige the National Police Board to launch any procurement process. The answers to this RFI will become public after the contract concerning the possible procurement has been concluded. However, if it is decided that no procurement will be launched, the answers will become public after the decision of non-continuation is made. Notwithstanding the above, information on a private business or professional secret, as well as other comparable private business information, presented in the answers, will not become public provided that access to this information would cause economic loss to the private business. If you feel that a certain part of the material included in your answer to the RFI should be kept secret on account of the provisions on business and professional secrets, you must submit the said material in a separate annex marked “CONFIDENTIAL”. You must also present the legal grounds for secrecy in the answer. The publicity of the material submitted is determined on the basis of the Finnish Act on the Openness of Government Activities (621/1999). This RFI is not binding to either of the parties. Decisions about launching a procurement process or how the potential process will be conducted will be made later according to Finnish procurement laws. It is estimated that the decision of launching first procurements will be made earliest in 2024.
