The purpose of this RFI is to collect information from the market and inform companies of the upcoming procurement. With this RFI you are invited to take part in the market dialogue.
RFI is not a contract notice or a call for tender. With this RFI Yle is not asking for tenders. In addition, it is not necessary to reply to this RFI in order to later participate in the upcoming procurement procedure and invitation to tender.
The description and object of the RFI are preliminary and Yle will specify the needs and objectives of the procurement in the final invitation to tender.
Yle will treat responses to RFI as confidential and all material provided for the RFI will be kept confidential and only for Yle's internal use.
Registrations for the RFI should be made by the following date 21.11.2023 at 12: 00 by e-mail to address tarjoukset.yle@yle.fi.
The market dialogue will be conducted as soon as possible after the expiry of the registration, but at least during the end of the year 2023. The market dialogue will be in in Finnish or in English.

Erä 1: Large size OB vehicle services
OBJECT OF THE RFI
The purpose of the procurement is to procure outside broadcasting vehicle services. One of the cornerstones of Yle’s TV operations are productions, which are made with outside broadcasting vehicles (later also OB vehicles). Yle owns OB vehicles but the high volume of current productions also require procurement of OB vehicle services.
The procurement of OB vehicle services means a tight collaboration between Yle and companies, with OB vehicle services, selected by the procurement procedure. At Yle the productions using the OB vehicle services are located all over Finland, and the production location is always specified on a production-by-production basis.
The objective of the procurement is to find flexible and precisely allocated services for Yle’s variable OB vehicle production needs. The procurement of OB vehicle services consists of the OB vehicle base unit with integrated equipment, the production specific equipment and the personnel (production manager, engineer in charge, audio engineer in charge and the driver of the OB vehicle).
Yle is planning to divide the procurement into two (2) different lots, which are:
- Large size OB vehicle services
- Mid size OB vehicle services
As the procurement is separated into two (2) lots, the RFI applies to both slots. It is possible to participate in the RFI, if the interest is in both slots or in only one slot.
The preliminary plan is to establish framework agreements for both lots and a maximum of three (3) suppliers will be selected for each framework agreement
