Alkuperäinen teksti Hilmasta, muuttamattomanaThe specific need is to perform rapid light sheet imaging of samples in a standard SBS well plates. This requires a single-objective light sheet system including a motorized XY stage to move the well plate, optics to illuminate with an oblique light sheet, and optics to form and image the oblique plane of fluorescence on a sensitive low-noise camera sensor. The system should have the capability of sample-scanning and also galvo-scanning for rapid volumetric imaging without moving the sample. Furthermore focus locking is required.
Suorahankinnan perustelut
All such devices until now are home-built from parts from different manufacturers. But now one company (ASI Inc.) has licensed the relevant patents and offers for purchase a pre-built system. (The patents are sub-licenced from Leica who controls the patents from the inventing researchers, however Leica does currently not offer any product using these patents.)
The single-objective light sheet "CB2" microscope with laser launch provided by APPLIED SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTATION, Inc. (ASI) is currently the only device on the market, which meets all the specific and necessary technical requirements to fulfill the uncompromising needs of the acquiring department.
