GTK - Geological Expert Services - 2020-2024 (DPS); Expert Services for Developing Drill Core Library in Saudi-Arabia 2021 – 2023

The Contracting Authority invites tenders for Geological Expert Services in accordance with this call for tenders and it attachments. The minimum requirements of the services have been described in this document and Attachment 1 Description of the Procurement (DPS). More detailed description of the service is available in Attachment 2 Description of the Service. This call for tenders concerns individual project. The Dynamic Purchasing System will be valid until 7.6.2024, unless it is suspended earlier. Procurement Agreements shall be concluded before the end of Dynamic Purchasing System. Procurement Agreements may be valid two (2) years after the end of Dynamic Purchasing System. The Contracting Authority invites tenders for expert services for developing drill core library in Saudi Arabia in accordance with this call for tenders and its attachments. GTK will be responsible for developing the National Core Library in Saudi Arabia and overseeing the operations from quality perspective. The work commences by designing the concepts for both, the physical infrastructure required for efficient and safe operation of the facility as well as the data and core management philosophy, i.e. what data is collected (e.g. hyperspectral scanning, pXRF or pXRD), how it is stored, which cores will be accepted to the library etc. GTK itself has significant expertise on the geological and data management aspects of the project. This procurement has been to set up to guarantee participation of specialists with knowledge on designing and operating physical aspects of such operations, including, but not limited to forklifts, storage shelfs, rock saws, logging tables required, to ensure optimal workflow within the facility, high quality of data and the best possible outcome of the whole project. This procurement covers a period of 24 months, estimated to start during June or July 2021. During 24 month period estimated total of 40 to 80 person days of expert services will be procured. Service provider must name two individual experts. In this procurement person day equals 7.5 working hours. Possible partial or longer days will be converted to person days with the aforementioned rate, without any extra compensation. Additional procurement of similar services consisting of maximum of 50 person days from 01.06.2022 to 01.06.2024 is connected to this procurement.
